Lounge Access Terms Of Use

Effective:  01 April 2019 

These are the terms and conditions upon which Fiji Airways provides access to the Lounges to you, your Children and/or your Guests.

By accessing a Lounge, you and your Children and/or Guests agree to these terms and conditions. If you, your Children and/or Guests do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not access the Lounges.

You are responsible for complying with and ensuring that your Children and/or Guests comply with these terms and conditions.  

These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the Tabua Club Terms and Conditions, the Fiji Airways Privacy Policy, and any terms and conditions applicable to access to Partner Lounges. These terms and conditions are effective from the date of publication and may be amended by Fiji Airways from time to time.

 

1.      Definitions

Unless the context otherwise requires, in these terms and conditions:

Child means a person eighteen (18) years of age or under;

Eligible Entrant means an individual who is entitled to access a Lounge, in accordance with the applicable Lounge eligibility criteria detailed in the Terms, on the Fiji Airways Website and the websites of the operators of Partner Lounges, from time to time; 

Fiji Airways means Air Pacific Limited trading as Fiji Airways;

Fiji Airways Premier Lounge means the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge located at Nadi International Airport;

Fiji Airways Website means www.fijiairways.com;

Guest means an invited guest of an Eligible Entrant in accordance with the Eligible Entrant’s guest entitlement rights detailed on the Fiji Airways Website and in the Terms, as updated from time to time;

Lounge includes the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge and Partner Lounges; 

Occupant means an individual who has been granted entry into a Lounge and is occupying the Lounge (including Guests and Children); 

Partner Lounge means a lounge operated by another airline or a third party with which Fiji Airways has an agreement for the use of the lounge by Eligible Entrants. A list of the Fiji Airways Partner Lounges can be found on the Fiji Airways Website; 

Tabua Club Terms and Conditions means the terms and conditions of the Tabua Club published on the Fiji Airways Website from time to time;  

Terms means these terms and conditions, the Tabua Club Terms and Conditions, and any applicable Partner Lounge terms and conditions; 

 

2.      General 

Fiji Airways may at any time vary these terms and conditions and the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge access entitlements in any way. In particular, Fiji Airways may: (i) close, change, remove or cease to operate the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge; (ii) temporarily restrict access to the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge for any reason; (iii) vary the hours of operation, layout, location or services provided in  the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge; (iv) impose restrictions on the use or access to the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, as may be reasonably required or convenient for the proper administration of the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge.  

 

3.      Terms of Entry to Fiji Airways Premier Lounge  

3.1 In order to access the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, you must be an Eligible Entrant.  

3.2 The Fiji Airways Premier Lounge is accessible for the three (3) hour period immediately prior to an Eligible Entrant’s scheduled departure time from Nadi International Airport. The Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff have the discretion to allow an Occupant to stay longer where the Occupant is in international transit. 

3.3 Eligible Entrants, Guests and Occupants, upon request, must be able to present evidence to support their valid access and entry into the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. Such evidence may include a valid Tabua Club membership card or Tabua Club Plus membership card, oneworld alliance membership details, voucher or an appropriate boarding pass.  

3.4 Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff have the discretion to decline any request for entry into the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, by any person at any time, if, in their reasonable opinion: (i) the person has not or will not comply with the terms and conditions; (ii) the person's behavior is disruptive, inappropriate or offensive; (iii) the person is intoxicated; (iv) the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge is full or nearing capacity; or (v) declined entry is necessary for the orderly operation of the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, or the safety and/or comfort of other people in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge (including staff) in the sole discretion of Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff. 

3.5 An Occupant must immediately leave the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge if asked to do so by any Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff member. A staff member may ask an Occupant to leave the Fiji Airways Premier  Lounge if they reasonably consider: (i) the person to be intoxicated; (ii) the person's behavior to be disruptive, inappropriate or offensive; (iii) the person fails to comply with these terms and conditions or any reasonable staff requests or instructions; (iv) the person has stayed in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge for a period greater than six (6) hours; or (v) the removal is necessary for the orderly operation of the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge or the safety or comfort of the other Occupants in the sole discretion of  Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff. 

 

4.      Child access to Fiji Airways Premier Lounge 

Children must be accompanied by an Eligible Entrant over the age of 18 years at all times while accessing the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge.  

 

5.      Guest access to the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge

5.1 Eligible Entrants are entitled to invite a Guest or Guests to accompany them into the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge in accordance with the Eligible Entrant’s Guest eligibility criteria detailed in the Terms and on the Fiji Airways Website from time to time. Guest eligibility criteria may be subject to change at Fiji Airways’ discretion from time to time. 

5.2 A Guest must be accompanied by an Eligible Entrant at all times whilst in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. The Guest must comply with all reasonable staff requests. 

5.3 Guest access to the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge is at all times subject to space availability. Access may be restricted from time to time and Guests may be refused entry if the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge is full or nearing its capacity.

 

6.      Entry to Partner Lounges

6.1 Entry to Partner Lounges is subject to the relevant lounge operator’s terms and conditions of entry and space availability. You must ensure that you, your Children and/or Guests comply with the terms and conditions of entry into the Partner Lounges. 

6.2 Terms and conditions for the use of Partner Lounges may vary between Partner Lounges. Further information

can be found on the partner’s website, as updated from time to time.

 

7.      Use of Fiji Airways Premier Lounge  

7.1 Access to the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge facilities and services is subject to availability, capacity and hours of operation. 

7.2 Any Occupant who is under the legal drinking age must not consume any alcohol in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. The legal drinking age for Fiji is 18 years and above. Valid proof of identification must be presented to the staff member administering the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge upon request. 

7.3 The range, timing and scope of the food and beverage offering in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge shall operate strictly in accordance with any applicable license. Occupants may not open or consume their own alcohol in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge nor may they take any food or beverage out of the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge when they leave.  

7.4 Fiji Airways reserves the right to remove, amend or suspend the use of any of the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge facilities and/or services as it requires.

 

8.       Dress standards  in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge 

Smart, casual dress standards apply at all times in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. Staff administrating the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge reserve the right to deny access to any Eligible Entrant, Child, or Guest who does not meet this dress standard, or who is otherwise dressed inappropriately or offensively in the sole discretion of Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff.

 

9.       Breach of these terms and conditions  

Your entitlement to access the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge may be temporarily or permanently suspended by Fiji Airways at any time, if you or your Guest/s or Children: 

  • breach these terms and conditions;
  • pose a security risk as determined by Fiji Airways and/or Fiji Airways Premier Lounge Staff, acting reasonably;  
  • damage any facilities, equipment or goods owned by Fiji Airways or a third party (including another Occupant or a Partner Lounge operator);
  • act in any way which is likely to be detrimental to the interests of Fiji Airways, the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge or any Partner Lounge operator; or
  • supply or attempt to supply misleading information, or make any misrepresentation to Fiji Airways Premier Lounge staff or any Partner Lounge operator.

 

10.        Liability 

10.1 Some of the goods or services which are offered or provided to Occupants by Fiji Airways are supplied by third party suppliers. The provision of those goods or services will be subject, in each case, to the terms and conditions of the suppliers and any claims relating to the supply of those goods or services should be made to the supplier. Fiji Airways will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered in relation to the supply of goods or services by third parties. 

10.2 Access to internet and computer equipment may be available in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. Fiji Airways may not supervise the use of, and does not guarantee the security or quality of internet access or this equipment. Fiji Airways is not liable for any third party content on the internet that an Occupant may find offensive, upsetting or defamatory. Occupants are responsible for maintaining the security of all log-in identification information made available to them to access the internet. Fiji Airways is not liable for any personal security breaches suffered by Occupants when using the internet or for any loss or damage suffered as a result of the unavailability of the internet, including interruptions during use. 

10.3 You agree to indemnify and release Fiji Airways from and against all claims, demands, loss, damage or liability arising from or in any way connected with your, your Children’s and/or your Guests use of, or presence in the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, except to the extent caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of Fiji Airways or its employees. 

 

11.    Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Fiji.
